  • Hello to some new followers, I thought I'd introduce myself: my name is Erika and I'm the owner and photographer of Studio Metsä. ⠀ 🎀 At Studio Metsä I specialize in photographing women who don't believe they're photogenic. I also make branding and lifestyle photographs and portraits to business owners and entrepreneurs. ⠀ 🎀 The vision that drives me is a world where everyone is happy being who they are. Where we've all accepted ourselves the way that we are and don't try to fit ourselves into a box that we think we need to fit into. (Because nobody does.)⠀ 🎀 I'm also a big believer in honest and genuine communication and connection. The best moments are those where we are truly connected to another human being.   • As they say, calm waters never made a skilled sailor. 🔹This year has been a big year of change in every conceivable way and because big changes never happen without pain, my heart and soul have been stretched to the max, broken and torn, then healed and broken again. 🔹But while I'm going through everything, I'm also aware of how meaningful and fruitful this year has been and will be. I know I'm going to look back at this year and see the big steps I took forward. 🔹Things don't always go according to plan but they always go as they should. And we will be far better able to deal with future storms because of it. 🔹So if you've been going through tough times, know that it's all for your benefit. Everything always has a silver lining. Even if in the moment it doesn't seem so. 🔹Also remember to hold on to those near and dear. Those who are willing to be there for you when things get rough. 🔹You got this. 🔹Don't give up. 💙

  • #metoo / How i wish we could say me not. 💔 It's shocking to stop and think about the moments I've been sexually harassed. The absolute brazenness these men exhibit is unfathomable. Yet somehow we are still the ones feeling ashamed. As if we did something wrong. ➖It is not okay for anyone to think they have ownership or even any type of short lease to your body or spirit. ➖No matter what you look like, what you wear, how you move or how you speak, no one can ever touch you without your consent.
