If the temperature outside falls to -30C, how do you react to it? Do you just stay inside and avoid the cold air altogether?
That’s usually my strategy too.
But last week, we had the most incredible natural phenomenon right outside my home.
Which meant I had to brave the cold air.
To those of you who aren’t very familiar with this type of temperature, -30C is the kind of cold that freezes everything and goes straight to your bones. It’s the kind of cold that makes you realise you have nose hair! So wearing layer after layer is a good idea.
When I was finally ready to go outside, I swear I looked exactly like this:
But hey at least I can say I wasn’t cold!
For about 25mins.
Then I was ready to go back inside.
But for those 25 minutes, I got to admire this…
It was truly spectacular. The ocean was steaming because it, too, was surprised by the sudden drop in temperature.
The cold isn’t as bad anymore, but the nature remains gorgeous and just a few days ago dropped us a big load of snow. We are finally living in Winter Wonderland again.
Until next time,
