In honour of it being May 4th today, I decided to rely on the wisdom of Yoda. If you aren’t a huge fan of Star Wars (although I wouldn’t necessarily consider myself a fan neither, per se), I’d highly recommend watching the original three because the films are full of life wisdom. So if for no other reason, watch them for that.
I was skeptical of them myself, always thought it’s the type of fantasy stuff I’m not into. It wasn’t until a couple of years ago when I was persuaded to watch them. And after seeing the first film, I was in awe. Seriously.
So without further ado, here are some life lessons from Yoda:
Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.
Luke: I can’t believe it.
Yoda: That is why you fail.
You must unlearn what you have learned.
Many of the truths that we cling to depend on our point of view.
Do or do not. There is no try.
You will find only what you bring in.
Named must your fear be before banish it you can.
That’s some serious stuff, isn’t it?! Such simple sentences with so much FORCE! Man, I’m really wanting to watch them again now that I’ve been researching Yoda’s words.
If these quotes have challenged your thinking, I’d love to hear about it. Click here and send me a private message!
May the 4th be with you!
Until next time lovely,
